Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart

Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart is a college preparatory boarding and day school for young women in grades 9-12. It is a member of the Sacred Heart Network of schools whose educational mission extends throughout the world. Woodlands strives to educate the whole person, providing a value-based environment which supports rigorous intellectual training and opportunities. The small class sizes offer a unique experience for each individual student, while also providing a strong sense of community. The faculty/student ratio is 1:9. Woodlands offers English as a Second Language, a learning program, college courses, strong sports and extracurricular programs, and community service. 100% of Woodlands' graduates go on to college and 85% are accepted by the college of their first choice. The enrollment includes girls of diverse religious and cultural background, and non-Catholics are encouraged to pursue their own faiths. Situated in Lake Forest, a suburb 35 miles north of Chicago, Woodlands enjoys the benefits of a suburban community while also providing the cultural advantages of the city.
